Privacy Policy

Palm Springs Guide (“we,” “us”) publishes independent guides to the Coachella Valley, including TeaDrinkr, our directory of the valley’s tea places. We built it to be read, not to harvest your data. This page covers palmsprings.guide and every section on it, and explains what little we collect and why.

What we collect

Nothing you type, by default. Browsing TeaDrinkr requires no account and no personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Suggestions. If you use the “Suggest a place” form, it opens an email from your own mail app. We receive whatever you choose to send — typically a place name and, if you include it, your name or email so we can credit you. We use it only to evaluate and credit the suggestion.

Server logs. Our site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Analytics. If we measure traffic, we use aggregate, cookie-light analytics to understand which pages are useful. We don’t build profiles of individual visitors.

Advertising

TeaDrinkr may display advertising or sponsored venue listings to keep the site running. If we use a third-party ad network (such as Google AdSense), that network may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads; you can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. Sponsored listings on TeaDrinkr are always labeled.

Third-party content

Venue pages link to external sites (venue websites, Google Maps, Instagram, online ordering). Those sites have their own privacy practices. Our community photo wall may display images from Instagram via Curator.io; loading them tells those services your browser requested the content.

Your rights

California residents have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and delete personal information. Since we keep almost nothing, exercising them is simple: email us and we’ll handle it. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
